is there a different way to say into the kitchen rather than to the kitchen in klingon?

I'd argue "washroom" should be accepted as well.

Thanks!

Also, great work with the course so far. I'm really enjoying it.

Why are they not the other way round?

I'm not completely sure what you are referring to. Are you asking if it couldn't be vutpa'Daq puchpa'vo' ("to the kitchen from the bathroom")? That would be fine, too. There is no grammatical reason why it has to be one order or the other. Though since this exercise presents puchpa'vo' first, your English translation should also put "from the bathroom" first.
