The new mobile device Crown Level is NOT at all helpful.
I'm not sure how to get this to right ears, but having to constantly "purchase" health so that a person can keep trying a section they are having trouble with is NOT at all helpful.
In the past, I was able to keep going back to the lesson and doing it over and over until I learned it. Now, it's a few strikes and I'm out for the rest of the day until health refills or I purchase additional health.
This is not conducive to learning. It penalizes and prevents progression.
Please add a way to exit this mode so that Duolingo is helpful again.
Maybe edit your post and change the topic from "Spanish" to "Duolingo" or "Troubleshooting"
I don't have the health feature - that's almost certainly an A/B test - but can you not re-do an old completed skill and regain health? That's how it used to work. I had "health" and then it went away, so maybe it's changed since then.
Duolingo gave me to choices of posting forums - "Duolingo in English" and "Spanish to English".
I cannot seem to find a way to contact support directly.
I hate the new Crown duolingo. I was on 61% and getting really advanced exercises and now I'm back to Soy una niña! I wish Id never accepted to go on this Crown programme. I have emailed Duolingo twice and asked to go back to how I was. No response! There seems to be no consideration of the last two years I've been working on my Spanish. Grrrrr
I am glad to see that I am not the only one frustrated by this change. I hope this will reach the ears of those who design and update the program.
I'm glad it's not just me. Unbelievable what they've done. We're not idiots! And not to give the option of returning to the old one is unforgivable. Duolingo DO SOMETHING. Please
I agree. It’s back to infantile sentences with no way of building up health to make progress. Very disappointing. The crowns don’t seem to correlate to how I perceive I’m doing in each language.
I changed my review of the App on the App Store to try and get the creators attention. There's no other way (that I can find) to communicate with them. They really need to fix this. At least give us a way to turn it off!
