Too many mistakes in the Swahili course
Duolingo, There are just way too many errors in the Swahili course, namely in the English translations. It is very frustrating when correct answers are refused because the required answer is in broken English. You should have the English checked! Marie
Swahili course is a mess altogether. I still do not understand how it was ever moved up from beta without audio. Seems like the quality of the new courses is nowhere near the old ones. It's a real shame, but I guess Duolingo doesn't care about quality of what they put out anymore.
I'm giving up on this course. I'm a native English speaker and I'm tired of trying to guess which incorrect English response is the one the course has programmed as the correct answer. I'm getting questions wrong because the English translations are either flat-out incorrect, or they are phrases not in common usage (or at all?) like "How is the morning?" Nobody says that! We say "Good morning!" Why that is listed as a translation when you hover over the Swahili but "How is the morning" is the response we're expected to enter? It doesn't make sense.
And there's no audio?? Really disappointing.
