Translation:I freeze the meat in the freezer.
The word "congélateur" is not available. So we have to push the button down to -40° C.
Maybe this would be a good word to add next time you do a big update on the French course.
Sadly, we forgot it when we rewrote the tree a couple of months ago, and this new version has just been cleared for dispatching to more users in the coming weeks. Nobody knows if and when a new versioning initiative can be started by the course incubators.
For your information, just as "le réfrigérateur" is known as "le frigo", "le congélateur" can also be shortened to "le congélo".
I always imagine that the male voice we hear is what Sitesurf actually sounds like. :)
Word choice only gives the option to translate "réfrigérateur" as "freezer".
I do not know if it is the same in France, but in Scotland, every fridge has a freezing compartment
Sounds like refrigerator vs freezer. I suppose the former is included by the latter.
I am glad they are using the same incorrect sentence unchanged in the new tree, it shows the level of care and consideration Duo has for its users!
I have just tested out all 5 levels in the "new" Food 4 skill, and this stupid sentence has appeared in all 5 test outs!
The word in the hint is freezer while its's refrigerator here. The equivalent of réfrigérateur is refrigerator whereas a freezer can be either a refrigerator or a refrigerated compartment, cabinet or room for preserving food at very low temperatures. The semantic range of freezer is wider than refrigerator.
