I have a question about adj, & adverbs

When I started to learn French I got a book, "Le Petite Prince". However if you'd say, the white shirt, the adjective goes after the noun. So why in the title does the adj. go before the noun? And are adverbs any different?

Some adjectives go in front of the noun, others go afterwards. The simplest rule to remember is BANGS:

Beauty Age Number Goodness Size

Petite falls under 'size'.

Le Petit Prince.... misspelling is not significant but still important to note
