I still miss the German Quizzes!

It has been a while now since Duolingo upgraded to the new platform. I have been hoping that they would eventually bring the quiz back but no such luck. Has anyone found a good substitute to monitor their progress? Thanks.

Oh - how I miss those German Progress Quizzes. One site for testing is: http://www.dw.com and they have some placement tests for A1, A2, and B1. I've taken the A1 test every 6 to 9 months or so and have seen my improvement. It's not quite the same as the Progress Quizzes, ....sigh :)

Deutsche Welle (http://www.dw.com - German version of the BBC or Voice of America) is a great site, and not just for testing. I'm working my way through the A1, A2, ... courses, and I find it provides a nice complement to Duolingo. Their news articles and TV broadcasts in German also provide a nice yardstick for how much vocabulary I've gotten comfortable with.

Several years ago, I was quite active on DW, but have more recently been using other resources. Methinks I'll start using the site more frequently again. Best wishes. :)
