"Il faut réchauffer la pizza."

Translation:You must reheat the pizza.

How does "it is necessary" end up as "You must"? You must, doesn't seem impersonal to me. Is it just the the language is?

I said "He has to reheat the pizza". I know that's not completely right, but can't "Il faut" be translated as "He has to"?

No, "il faut" is always impersonal.

  • il faut - it is necessary

"He has to" is translated differently:

  • He has to - il lui faut
  • He has to - il doit
