In another module 'really likes' was required to be 真喜欢.So, what is the difference here that requires it to be 很喜欢? Or, is this yet another inconsistency in this course?
Both should be accepted here. I think Duo just translated 很 as "really" here because you can't say "very likes" in English!
In my limited experience 很 is often translated as "really" here. That is when you aren't supposed to ignore it, that is.
Why does it translate it as "Mother", wouldn't "Mom" sound more natural here?
I think Duo normally accepts mum, mam (Ireland) & mom
