English language usage is not restricted to any one person and/or their circle of acquaintances.

I have often heard, and used, put on some jeans, some trousers, some socks, some shoes (where the common name has an apparently plural 's'), but not some shirt, coat, hat, belt, etc.

Some is unnecessary here.

It rejected "today we are putting on jeans". Reported 02 May 2018.

"unos" is in the sentence we were given to translate so "some" needs to be in the translation.

Next time, I am going to answer, "Today we are putting on some cowboys" just to see what happens :-)
