If you don't give me an option, why do you ask?

Recently my android Duolingo app was updated. After I entered the app today, it asked me whether I wanted to update to the Crown system. There was only the 'update' button available. No 'later' or 'close' button were there. Moreover, clicking on the other parts on the screen doesn't work. If I click the 'back' button of the mobile, that update message disappears, but only for a few milliseconds. So, it seems to me that Duolingo is trying to force me to push that 'update' button!
If you don't give an option, why do you ask in the first place? This strategy of Duolingo which doesn't leave its users the freedom to choose is scary! And, to be honest, I don't like this Crown system. Give me back my old system.

I don't mind updates, but all (literally ALL) the levels I have passed I have to do again, they are open, but for these 'crowns' I have to do everything again?! It's like starting from the beginning, what's this nonsense?
