There's no audio in this course. How am I supposed to understand how Swahili is spoken? Please put the audio in this course! We need it
It's ok, from ten months ago "We have been a bit quiet in terms of updates and edits, but good news - all of the audio exercises are finished! We expect them to be integrated into the course in the next week or two, " It's really disappointing that they seem to have decided that no audio is now sufficient which likely means more soundless courses. If I didn't want audio I would just use a textbook.
The thing is they recorded them already. I think the Klingon situation is as close to admitting they think sound is unnecessary as we will get. They won't explain it to us but I hope they did to the people that gave up their time, otherwise they really did do it for nothing.
Wow, you're right! There's no audio in Klingon or High Valyrian. That's just wrong! Esperanto is a constructed language, but they have a guy with a gorgeous speaking voice doing the audio for that language. Why go through all the trouble of adding a Sci-Fi/Fantasy language with no audio? I wonder if we could put together a Change.org petition to get Michael Dorn and Emilia Clarke to do the voices for those languages and find a native voice actor to do the Swahili course. I guess they wouldn't do it pro bono, though. Oh, well.
