Why has my home page changed?

I used to have yellow symbols for all the lessons that I had completed and then the color changed when I had to review them. Now It is all changed and it shows levels and says I haven't done the lessons. l don't like this. What is going on. Did I do something wrong with my settings?

I think you're referring to the crowns update. The link I've provided will explain.

I got the email. I hate this format. I want the old one back.

Yes, I sympathise! But let me remind you, 'all that is gold does not glitter.'

There is nothing—I repeat, nothing—harmful about repetition. It will only help you improve. Maybe give this a read.

If you care more about getting your skills shiny than learning a language, I suggest you leave, or go find a program that prioritizes making things shiny to learning.

I think this a good exercise in finding other motivations to learn a language than something as useless as a golden colour, a glinting lingot, a large amount of XP, or a very high streak.

Best of luck in your language-learning endeavors! Please, give crowns and chance, and whatever you do, don't let the update stop you from your language dreams.
