Why does the practice button not level up tree in anyway?

I really don't like the update, but I do understand the idea behind it. What I can't get my head around is why the practice button doesn't do anything for your tree? I mean why not help you level up these ridiculous redundant levels? The practice button was always the first thing I went to on mobil and pc, it brought me to what I was working on and needed to level up, but now it just feels pointless. Hopefully we will get the option to drop this update all together, but at the least I would like to level up skills with the practice button.

The practice button still helps you, as you are still practising. It does not appear to have changed, but that doesn't mean you're not learning. I understand how helpful visualization of these things can be, but unfortunately, the crowns system doesn't work like the old system does (no surprise there).

Practise is doing what practise has always done—making perfect. :)

I just think what duo really hooked me on was streaks and perfecting the tree, I know im still learning, but seems like a easy option to integrate, moreover, they actually removed it, even more work. Thanks for the reply!

As much as I like the new update, I will never use the practice button. I need some type of progress to show. I have plenty of practice to do on the new Levels! XP leveling up to 25 remains the same.

Hi, this is the Spanish forum, for getting help with Spanish grammar, vocabulary, resources, etc. Could you please edit your original post and use the drop-down list at top left to change the topic from "Spanish" to "Troubleshooting"? That way it won't clutter up the Spanish forum, and the answers you get might help others who look in Troubleshooting for information on how Duolingo works.

Lrtward, you are too nice a person to get downvotes.

There are going to be quite a few growing pains from this update, but in the end, I trust Duo will provide a product that is good for us, and therefore, good for them and their business.

Lrtward, I think this crowns change is a big change and for a while it is going to dominate the conversation in all the Duolingo topic areas. Please have a little patience with us
