My levels were reset!

Using MacBook Pro and Safari. I was at German level 10 and French lev el 8 until three days ago. When I accessed Duolingo that day both were reset to level 2 with no apparent way back to my progress level - help! Mark Hill

I'd guess that you got the crowns update like many others, too. Have a look at the discussions, there are some stickies and other high-voted contributions about it. Tell me if I'm wrong ;-).

btw, I can still see your levels in German, French and Italian here, also your points on your personal page.

If I'm wrong, this is a post for the troubleshooting forum or better directly a bug report.

Yes I can see that Duolingo is tracking me at those levels, I just can't access them, I can only access level 2. What topic is the discussion you reference e listed under? Thanks!

I'm referring to this: https://www.duolingo.com/comment/26739837 , it was also announced here https://www.duolingo.com/comment/25615588 earlier. You can see some screenshots there, for comparison.

The levels (10, 8 and 7 for you) are not related to any access restrictions, they're based on how many XP you gained so far, not how many skills you unlocked. Unlocked skills have a skill level 1,2,3,4 or 5 (gold) now. Before, they were just colored or golden, and had a strenght indicator, that is abandoned now (was also 1 to 5, by chance). Locked skills are still grey, like before.

Mark - Well it seems from here that your German level is at 10 and your French level is at 8. What are you looking at?
