This was given to me as a translation from English to French, to which I answered "Le gâteau de ma mère est meilleur que jamais," and was marked wrong. In a previous question I was given exactly the opposite. The sentence given was "Le gâteau de ma mère est meilleur que jamais," and the accepted English translation was "My mother's cake is as good as ever." So why won't it accept the exact same translation here?

"Meilleur que jamais" is "better than ever".

"As good as ever" is "bon comme toujours".

Because the 2 sentences were not properly paired, we changed them.
