Shadowban on my main profile.

Quite a while back now, over a year ago, I signed up to duolingo but I behaved immaturely in the discussion forums, engaging in arguments, spamming, and obnoxious behaviour with other users. For this I apologise.

For this my profile was shadowbanned which means that I am not completely banned but other users cannot see my posts. I haven't used duolingo at all recently but with all the new features I'd like to devote more time to learning.

I would like to pick up where I left off, but my main profile still has a shadowban. I can still use the learning features but am unable to use the forums. I am requesting that my ban be lifted, so that when necessary I can ask a question in the forums regarding the language courses, and again I do apologise for my behaviour in the past and I can assure that it won't happen again, and I don't intend on using the forums much.

I'm unsure how to contact the mods or staff, but if a mod could provide me a method of contact for private messaging, I can give you my username for the profile so that you can consider unbanning it.

Thank you.

Try this.

However I've never heard of a user being un-shadowbanned so you're probably going to have to make a really strong argument for unbanning your account.

Even if your appeal is rejected you can just start fresh on a new account.

Good luck.

Omega, am I even allowed to use a new account if I've been banned, or are you permanently not allowed to own an account if you get banned.
