Why is it "There is a spider" and not "It is a spider"
You are pointing it, not describing. You are emphasizing the place where it exists.
If you are pointing it out, why not "voila??
"Voila" would be like pulling it out of a coat pocket and showing it I think
is "Il y a" always pronounced Il-e-a ? or ever differently?
As far as I know it's always the same.
"Il y a un araignée!"
