More Great Music From Early 60s Germany

For those of you who like different styles of music, here is another great song and artist from the early 1960s. This is Bill Ramsey...originally from the USA but became a German citizen in the 1980s, I think.

He made movies, sang songs and even recorded children's music. The following is called 'Ohne Krimi Geht die Mimi nie ins Bett' It is from a movie with the same name that you can find on Archive.org if you are interested. It's a fun little comedy.

I love his music and I love figuring out the German words and meanings of the songs...he is just fun!

I remember watching the film as child, it was great fun. It contains a song by another singer who was originally American:
Geisterstundentango by Gus Backus

But you might want to check out Trude Herr, she has one song in that film, too.

I thought it was a fun film, too.! I didn't understand all the German but the movie was easy enough to follow. I love Gus Backus! He was originally in an American Doowop group called the Del Vikings. They had a hit called Come and Go in the 50s. He got shipped off to German (the Del Vikings formed while they were in the Army) and left the band. Then he got popular in Germany for awhile...here is he and Trudy Herr doing the Sauerkraut Polka from another movie...Bill Ramsey is on bass....lol...

Hallo, ich bin's schon wieder :)

That's feel good music, even if I'm into more modern German pop. (Funny actually when I'm very much an old-fashioned girl).

From a YT comment, it seems a strophe is missing from this video, but (sigh, I legit wrote "aber") this should be whole https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ae0ygmAi868

And for those who want to check what they heard https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJsz7u7MNU8

I just can't understand these people reading in bed, "just one more page, till the end of the chapter", then go "oops", it's six in the morning already" ;p

I love all music....I will listen to hard rock one day and the next I will be listening to Cole Porter songs from the 30s, lol. I think it is because I have played in sooooo many rock bands over the years that I got a taste for music outside my comfort area so to speak....Later I will put up some links to some great German folk music....be afraid, be very afraid, but I love polka music! It is impossible to be sad listening to polka, ha!

BTW Your first link above says 'video unavailable'...the second link is A OK!
