Spanish upgrade

I have completed the Spanish course but now have the updated version with the additional levels. I am starting again at basics but finding that the levels offer no variation. I am on level 4 and on 6/15 but the questions are all the same eg "I am a boy you are a woman" or "the girl eats bread" . Is this what is supposed to happen? I thought as you go through the levels the questions should be different or get harder? Is there a bug or am I just missing the point?

https://www.duolingo.com/comment/26739837 The vocabulary does not get harder in the early levels. The way the question is asked may be slightly harder, but you might not notice that in Basics1. "I am a boy and you are a woman." is harder than just "boy", right? A picture with a word to choose from is easier than listen to the word in Spanish and type it in Spanish. Translating from English to Spanish is harder than translating from Spanish to English. I don't know how well they have implemented this though. Also, some people don't have microphones and have blocked the listen and repeat exercises. Other people are working in a place where they have to be quiet and have blocked the sound, so cannot listen to the Spanish and write it down either. In which case, Duolingo will have to supply exercises from some easier options. I believe that more content will be added to the later lessons, but I do not know when that will be implemented.

I couldn't have said it better myself, ALLintolearning3!

I think this is a sign of how hugely successful the crowns method is going to be. If Duolingo had sprung a sentence like "I am a man and you are a boy" on us in the old "Basics 1" folks would have been overwhelmed. The fact that people can do a reasonably complex (for an early skill) sentence and not realize it's "hard" speaks to the effectiveness of the gradual increasing difficulty of the Crowns system. We are improving and not even realizing how much progress we're making.

Except that we did have these sentences in Basics1. Now they go from most basic to slightly more difficult, before it was all random. Guess which I preferred? I do understand it is easier for beginners, but I do find it boring this way, or maybe that is because I am not at 5 yet. In new languages I will probably appreciate this more.
