What happened??

I don't normally follow the discussion forums so it may be there somewhere, but what happened to my Duo? Yesterday I was gold up to the spot where I ended (more than half-way through my tree again) and today I have sets with numbers inside circles and no idea where I left off!! Also, in a random start set, now I have to click on words to make up sentences. If this is supposed to be an improvement, and no way to get to the "old" way, then I'm leaving.

Yes, there are lots of discussions about this. You've been transitioned to the Crown system. I don't think going back is possible, but I'd suggest that you give it more time before leaving. I felt the same way one week ago when I was transitioned- but .I'm just taking a break to allow myself to adjust. I've heard there are more challenging lessons - haven't experienced that yet. Some people love it. As far as the word bank, you can change to the keyboard with an icon below the lesson.

I agree. This new duolingo isn't my style, and I find myself not pushing myself to do the work that is needed, and instead do the stuff that is the easiest.

Welcome to the Crowns update. The following link explains most of the advantages (and there are many) of the new system. https://www.duolingo.com/comment/26739837

It will change the way you study but if you persevere I am sure you will grow to like it. But do give it a couple of weeks first.

Hi, this is the Spanish forum, for getting help with Spanish grammar, vocabulary, resources, etc. Could you please edit your original post and use the drop-down list at top left to change the topic from "Spanish" to "Troubleshooting"? That way it won't clutter up the Spanish forum, and the answers you get might help others who look in Troubleshooting for information on how Duolingo works.

psionpete gave you a good link and good advice.
Give the link a while to load - it had over 1500 comments the last time I looked, so it was very slow to load and scroll.

I will give it a week or two, but change is difficult emotionally for some of us.
