New skill Level 1, automatically partly done?
When you complete a row of skills to Level 1, the skills in the next row are enabled, and those circles change from grayed-out to colored.
I did that for the first time since Crowns was enabled, and one of the three newly colored skills in the new row was already half-gold-circled (at 1/2) in Level 1. Even though, obviously, I hadn't even started on that new row yet.
It was as if I'd already "tested out" of doing that first segment, but that wasn't the case.
The new skill was called "People 2", but I was only at 1/4 on Level 2 of "People 1", so that much earlier skill of a similar name shouldn't have had any influence one way or the other.
When I clicked on the circle, I got the URL https://www.duolingo.com/skill/de/People-2/2
Rather than do that, I opened a new tab in my browser and manually created the URL https://www.duolingo.com/skill/de/People-2/1 and visited it, but all the questions were new to me and fairly challenging, and when I completed it I was promoted to Level 2.
Then I went back to the previous tab (with URL ending in People-2/2) and did that. There was a lot of overlap with the questions in the other tab, and when I finished it, it again told me I was promoted to Level 2.
So it's a bit mystifying, and it seems that one way or the other I must have missed out on much of the content of the first segment of Level 1.
This sounds really ... interesting. I think the best would be if you sent a bug report to Duolingo: https://support.duolingo.com/hc/en-us/articles/204728264-How-do-I-report-a-bug-
There must be something wrong in the admission to the level. I hope this problem can be solved!
