Translation:Centigramul e mai mic decât gramul.
Isn't "gramul" supposed to lose the definite article after a preposition, "decât"? Why doesn't it here, is this an exception?
No, it isn't. It has to have an article (either definite or indefinite). Not only this is not an exception, this is, in fact, the rule when comparing things. At this moment, I can't even find an exception.
