Russian Alphabet Chart
I'm just starting to learn Russian and I couldn't find an alphabet chart I liked so I tweaked the wikipedia chart by color coding it to note the letters that are cognates to English (look- and sound-alike), non-cognate (look different, but sound-alike), make no sound and most useful for me, the false cognates (look-alike, but sound different). In case others might find it useful I put it here:
This also might be useful because it shows where the letters are located on the keyboard:
Personally learning the alphabet, I focused on writing words in english with their russian counterparts to help me integrate the sounds. e.g. I would write "alphabet" and then write it as "алфабет" without looking at a spelling chart. Then make sure I was correct.
When I was in Peace Corps Russia and learning the alphabet, I found this exercise to be very helpful: https://www.alphadictionary.com/rusgrammar/alphabet.html
