Dative and Accusative Pronouns seem the same to me when translated in English.

Does anyone know when to use which?

Accusative pronouns answer to the question "pe cine?" (who?) and dative pronouns answer to the question "cui?" (to whom?).

Ex:

Accusative:

El mă vede pe mine (He sees me) - Pe cine vede el? (who does he see?)

Answer: pe mine (me)

Dative:

(Mie) îmi este frig (I am cold) - Cui îi este frig? (To whom is it cold - approx.)

Answer: Mie îmi (to me)

Hope that helps somehow.

Yes, I know what you mean, however I get confused when to use which and I've been asking this question for quite some time but still haven't found a solution.
