Listening for the details

Hello! I really need some help! I've watched a really good film entitled "Poll" and there is a story about a drop of water and a black hen which I like very much. But I can't understand some pieces in this story (they stay in ** and are numbered) and I don't now where to search for the help but here. It begins at about 1:05:00.

"Weg!

In #1 I'm not sure about the usage of hinsehen, sentence #2 must be grammatically incorrect, but it doesn't seem that the narrator in the film pronounces "Sie sind", #3 I just can't make out. Maybe you can just propose some possible variant or you've watched the film too and know exactly what is said here.

Vielen dank für Ihre Hilfe!

1#hinsehen means to look (at something ..). but the word in your sentence 1 is only "hin" wich can also be short for hingehen - to go to some (fixed) place. and this is what was meant with " hin und will ihn aufpicken" the chicken goes towards the waterdrop and wants to pick it. so the "hin" in this example is not directly connected to the "sieht" in the beginning of the sentence.

edit: she said hängen not hin: .."sah den Wassertropfen an dem Blatt hängen und will ihn aufpicken"- ...saw the waterdrop hanging from the leaf and wants to pick it.

2# it musst either be: "Sie nennen sich Mikroben".or: "Man nennt sie Mikroben" or: "Sie heißen Mikroben" or "Es sind Mikroben" are you sure they said "Es nennt Mikroben?"

edit: just looked it up she said: "Es sind Mikroben" wich is absolute correct

3# "totales Chaos": there is chaos among the Mikroben: panic, confusion the Mikroben fear for their lives. the ones say this the others that...

edit: "in dem Wassertropfen ist natürlich der Teufel los"-

der Teufel ist los: the dictionary translates it with "the fat is in the fire" or "it is as if all hell broke loose" etc.... we could stick with :"naturally inside the watertrop a huge panic started", i guess.

I am sooo much thankful! Thank you for such a detailed explanation! The first sentence is very interesting, never heard this construction in German, seems like complex object in English

the construction of the first sentence is seldom for spoken language, but you will find it sometimes if you read german books (probably it is more used in older books than in newer ones)

Das schwarze Huhn muss in Russland gewesen sein? Ich habe für die Details gelesen. ;-)

I really enjoyed reading the story, and was especially happy to find that I could read it! Where would I be able to find the film? I did a few searches but found nothing.

Glad to know you enjoyed this :) I downloaded the film online kind of illegally, this is possible in my country. I can only give the title and say it is released in 2010 and directed by Chris Kraus.
