How is c'est pronounced?

How is the word c'est pronounced in French? On Duolingo, they say something like "sest" but I've been told by other people to pronounce it as "say."

Thanks!

It is similar to the word "said," but don't pronounce the "d" at the end.

The duolingo speech module is terrible, I turned it off. In general, unless a word ends with C, R, F or L, the ending consonant is usually silent. (Remember Careful)

Here's a youtube video that might help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyaSmDtjZPk

Like the English word "set" but without the "t".

In most instances, it would be pronounced "say." Before a vowel, you would pronounce the T.

It depends on what follows it.
followed by a consonant: "say" - "C'est la vie" (say la vee)
followed by a noun: "set" - "C'est une chatte noir" (set oon ❤❤❤❤ no-ah)
