Pos. Pron. and Nom. Pron. lessons completing at the same time
I am using my laptop with Google Chrome browser. In the German course, when I got to the lesson Pos. Pron. and completed it once, I noticed the Nom. Pron. lesson right next to it also filled up even though I hadn't touched it yet! I have continued to do the lessons in each, and every time I complete one, the other fills up at the same exact time. Are these both supposed to be completing at the same time?
This is really frustrating for me because I am worried that I will not learn all the skills I need in each if they are both filling up at the same time. Yes, I can go back and practice them, but don't the lessons get harder when you level up crowns? Plus, I don't have a tracker of how many lessons I have completed of each, so I can't visually see how much strength I am building up in each. I also just want to be able to complete them individually instead of at the same time and increase their levels (make them gold) simply because it is really motivating for me. Now I feel like I am unwillingly cheating.
Please let me know if this is supposed to be happening or if this is an error (and what I can do to fix it or revert a lesson to level 1). Thank you!

I have seen more complaints about this issue.
It seems to be a bug in the German course. Duolingo's staff should fix this.
Please, submit a bug report via
I have this exact problem too! submitted a bug report for it a few days ago.....still is not fixed :(
I also encountered this bug today. I also just sent in a bug report through the link provided. Hopefully whoever is able to fix the problem will see the bug reports.
It appears that both skills are using the same variable to keep track of progress in the skill.
I got the same issue and I ve reported the Bug. Does anyone know when it will be fixed?? I cannot leave this lesson behind. :/
This "bug" is still present to this day. I'm putting "bug" inside quotation marks because I'm starting to wonder if this is intentional.
