My posts are no longer accepted

I’ve noticed that my posts keep disappearing and I’m no longer able to reply to post.

I noticed someone else complained about this too. I found some of mine in the new category, unviewable by anyone. I’ve also received a message once saying my post didn’t belong in the Spanish section even though I saw a near identical post that had been accepted. The only difference was the person asked about Portuguse and Spanish. And mine was about French and Spanish.

I think Duo is moving to a pay if you want to post plan and I somehow got in the test group. Anyhow, I no longer feel welcome and am moving on.

It’s been great everyone.

Posts with five or more down votes are hidden. Did you check if this was the case with yours?

(If Duolingo were going to charge you to post, you would have already been given the option to pay. You can't sell something if no one knows it is up for sale.)

Hi, this is the Spanish forum, for getting help with Spanish grammar, vocabulary, resources, etc. Could you please edit your original post and use the drop-down list at top left to change the topic from "Spanish" to "Troubleshooting"? That way it won't clutter up the Spanish forum, and the answers you get might help others who look in Troubleshooting for information on how Duolingo works.

[guide]How to move a post
[Guide] In which forum should I post my discussion?

That said, what makes you think Duolingo is moving to a "pay if you want to post" plan? Were you given an opportunity to pay money?

I checked your recent posts over the last week. All of them are intact, though a couple have received enough down votes to make them not show up on the list of discussion topics. Here they are if you want to go visit them again (be sure to "Follow" them so you don't lose them again ;-)

Tammy, Your post has caused me to feel the sadness I felt when the Activity Stream was shut down. I wonder why this post was allowed. Perhaps it was allowed to give people a heads up about our next loss. Time to get Email addresses I guess.

I am a free user and can post etc so unless paying to use the forums is one of the many A/B tests I doubt that is the issue.

Sounds more like a technical issue, so don't leave cause you feel unwelcome. Was you post the was told didn't belong in the Spanish section actually relate to the Spanish language? or was it more of a technical question like about crowns etc

But you clearly can post, right? and be viewed by others? so are you sure there is even an issue? maybe the posts you made were just not interesting so no one posted?

Can you post the link to some of the posts you made that you believe are unviewable by anyone.

I just checked the links in the above mod post, and i was able to view them.

Sounds more and more like you are just unfamiliar with forum rules and usage and less like people are treating you badly or duolingo is trying to force you to pay.

Hi Tammy :) Are you posting to comment on a topic or to get help. I have to tell you that sometimes I also feel paranoid and unwelcome :) I think we just need to learn the rules Hon.

Sadly, My approach to most things is to try them my way. When all else fails, I'll will search out the rules. chuckle You and I need to accept that Duo, (like most of society) is regulated by rules in order for everyone to get the most benefit from this learning opportunity.

I see that you are close to level 25 in Spanish. I'd love to see you stay long enough to reach level 25. That is a huge achievement. Few people accomplish that!

Please stay and tell me how you are doing :)
