Kanji etymology

Does anybody know online resources to look up kanji etymologies? Not mnemonics but actual origin. I remember there used to be Kanji Networks, but it seems to be shut down.

I used to use Kanji Networks a lot too. It was a great site.

Thankfully, when they were closing down, they decided for a while they'd put up a PDF file containing all their etymologies. It's the 4th link in ALLintolearning3's comment. ^^

I recently supported a Kickstar that was all about the etymologies of kanji.
My book arrived a couple of weeks ago and it is beautiful!

While this isn’t an online resource like you asked, the author recently posted that there are a few physical copies left for sale on his web site:
http://www.theworldofkanji.com.

I don’t know if he is going to do another print run, but I see that he has pdf copies available for sale also.

Here’s a link to the KickStarter campaign so you can see the feedback: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/11102118/the-world-of-kanji/description
