I sure hope I can understand the directions to the 厕所 (cèsuǒ). I am going to try this in S.F. -> Ordering a Chinese Doughnut (loved this). I hope you do more videos where you interact in Chinese. I subbed you.

You have almost perfect pronunciation. Did you learn your Chinese in Taiwain?

Thanks! I spent about 5 months of my Chinese studies in Taiwan, but other than that my teachers were mostly from near Beijing.

Hi Austin, great video!

I'm just curious about the bathroom phrase, can't you say 洗手间在哪儿?

[deactivated user]

Yes you could say "洗手间在哪儿." Both are technically grammatically correct, it just depends on which one you are more familiar with or you'd prefer using. I personally prefer "洗手间" when I tell someone where I'm going and do use "洗手间" in most cases. "I've used "厕所" once in a while, especially when I'm talking to a native Cantonese speaker since in Cantonese the equivalent for bathroom is "厕所."

    Cantonese also use "洗手间".

True but most people I meet when I return back to the Guangdong region and Hong Kong use 厕所. It is more common to hear 厕所 rather than 洗手间.

Yeah :) There are alternatives like 卫生间 and 洗手间, but I remember being taught 厕所 first.

Never used 卫生间 nor have I heard it much but 洗手间 and 厕所 can be the contenders for the most popular "format" to refer to a restroom.
