汤圆 is a soup dumpling if i asked for a 'glutinous rice ball' in any country nobody would know what the heck i was asking for

Soup dumpling sounds like xiaolongbao or normal dumplings in soup. "Glutinous rice balls" is the English name I typically see on packaging. That said, I usually just call them "tangyuan" because the English name is a mouthful.
