I don't think we accept Roman numerals if the original has words. But will check other sentences.

Ok... I was reading stuff and I found out that, in English, ordinal roman numbers are not used for couting centuries. It's a phenomenon that, apparently, happen just in romance languages (I'm a romancec language speaker, that's why xD):

So, it's incorrect :).

FWIW, "XVII. století" is possible in Czech, although less common than "17. století".
