New French Tree?

I've just noticed people talking about a new french tree coming to some people. I haven't received it yet and I was wondering when it will be available to everyone.

UPDATE: I have the new tree! I'm not sure if I would have gotten sooner however, I read somewhere that people who had Duolingo Classrooms couldn't get the new tree. I had a few classrooms, for recreational purposes I'm not an actual teacher, so once I deleted them it gave me the new tree!

En anglais, "Balls of lessons"?

I think it usually takes some months until they give it to everyone. I had to wait at least 3 months until I got the new Dutch tree.

Why is this not communicated better? For a program designed to help people communicate they do a lousy job of communicating their plans.

I got it. More skills and new words. I had finished my French tree before this, but now I have to get to level 1 on all the new skills before my French owl flies back. However, I love it.. It is awesome.

I think it is okay as long as people don't care about keeping the tree gold. Who knows if / when mine ever will be again. Took me a couple of weeks just to get through level one and get my owl back. I do wish they would have reset our tests so we could have tested out of things that are way too easy.

I am in favour of new and harder lessons, but it is discouraging to be reverted to level zero without the option to test out of even the most basic skills.

It's in Beta testing. Only some users got it. And they won't roll it out universally until user tests show that it is reliable. The users will make bug reports - in this case finding errors in translation - and they will correct those. And then when the reports of errors slow down to a reasonably slow trickle they will release it to everyone. Of course they can only guess how long before they roll it out because it depends on how many people report errors and how many errors there are. The educated guess is three months from when the new tree first came out.

I had the new tree but I think I've gone back to the old one! Anyone else?
