Platform issues...

If I leave the country on vacation, and cannot take my laptop along, can I keep my streak going by using the cell phone platform only? I don't want to lose the streak on my computer during my absence.

Yes, the streak is maintained when you do your lessons on the app. If it is important to you, I'd recommend purchasing a "streak freeze" from the Lingot store. This will keep the streak for a day if you can't do your lessons. But it works only for one day, not longer.

Happy vacation! :-)

Hi, this is the Spanish forum, for getting help with Spanish grammar, vocabulary, resources, etc. Could you please edit your original post and use the drop-down list at top left to change the topic from "Spanish" to "Troubleshooting"? That way it won't clutter up the Spanish forum, and the answers you get might help others who look in Troubleshooting for information on how Duolingo works.

To answer your question: yes, progress made in the app will keep your streak live HOWEVER if you have less than a 110% iron clad connection on your mobile device, the servers may not register your progress so as Heike333145 suggested, be sure to check your Lingot Store every day and make sure you have a streak freeze intact.
