Not much variety when it comes to food
I'm sure that in France people eat more than beef, pork, fish, chicken, potato, tomato, carrots and strawberries. I don't mind having 30 lessons for level 5, but it would be nice if some more different vegetables or other types of food could get mentioned. But, someone working on the French Duolingo section must really like their meat, fish and eggs.
I always thought that the current Duolingo courses were meant to get one started in a language. After that, Immersion was the path for me. Once you learn the basic grammar, you can always learn all you want about specific cultures/languages in other places. Yes, I do love French food!
I hated French classes as we learned nothing but hundreds of vegetable vocabulary the only use I could see was if you wanted to be a French greengrocer. Learning how to deal with Emergencies is very important, they can stick those veg where the sun does not shine.
True! Have you read stories yet? Somehow "la courgette" (zucchini) is also frequently used, too!
When you can access the new French Tree, you will also get a new Skill "Food 2", which will teach you about 50 new words.
i must say cats and dogs are very good and tasty when it comes to dessert because its like a 2 for 1 special like a donkey riding a seahorse
things definitely do get boring so try something new like roadkill, cat, dog... they are all very tasty ik that from experience.
Duolingo is more to learn the fundamentals of a language. You take the courses to learn what is needed, and then you can learn other words that you want to elsewhere. I'd suggest just practicing other foods with flash cards.
