1000 Day Streak
I joined Duolingo 1000 days ago because I was curious about the constructed language Esperanto and Duolingo had a free course. Now almost 3 years later I have completed 5 trees:
- Esperanto from English
- Spanish from English
- English from Spanish (reverse tree)
- French from Spanish (all foreign language tree)
- Esperanto from Spanish (all foreign language tree)
A few comments and observations:
Esperanto from English was the easiest. A reverse tree is very beneficial because it forces you to use more of the target language. An all foreign language tree is beneficial because it forces you to think only in foreign languages. Esperanto from Spanish was the most confusing because the languages are similar but still quite different.
I’m not sure what I’m going to do next but for now I am just reviewing my Spanish from English tree.
A little piece of advice - unless you plan on moving to the Irish suburbs or taking a vacation for more than a few weeks in the suburbs, if you see Irish as a pain in the butt, I would stop learning it. Some people might see it as a fun challenge, and maybe you feel that way, too. But if you don't, I would recommend taking a break from it and coming back to it later.
Just my grain of salt. (I don't even know what that was supposed to mean)
Once I saw a 1500 something like that and I was like seriously I have a 35 day streak.
