Abb. bene = pretty good

Tr. tardi = too late

Nn so = I don't know

Xke nn 6 venuto? = Why didn't you come?

TVTB = I love you very much

TAT = I love you so much

Salu2: saludos (regards)

k tal?: ¿que tal? (how are you?)

x: por (for)

xq: porque (because)

tk: te quiero (I love you)

+: más (more)

dnd: donde (where)

stas?: ¿estás? (are you there?)

wpa: guapa (pretty)

Excelente iniciativa. De más está decir que 'xq' (por qué) también puede entenderse como why? cuando se coloca en forma de pregunta.

interesting, though, is it still in use? I can only tell for Germany, and there txt abbreviations kinda died out (or at least I have not seen anyone using them for years, even among younger people). Smartphones and autocorrect pretty much killed it. (I take that as a good thing...)

Yeah, in germany we dont use texting abreviations anymore, or at least everyone i know doesn't.

Well, so I am an example of those who still see them every now and then. They do not occur very often, but still sometimes within short messages or in chats. There are real german ones as n8 = Nacht, 2fel = Zweifel, 8ung = Achtung, but as well a lot of english abbreveations as thx are common.
