Satzstellung/Word order - using zurück
I am self learning using the A1 Hueber course (and Duolingo) and have come across an exercise in word order which has me confused. The topic is about starting sentences with an expression about time.
There are 2 sentences provided in the answer book:
Um 7 Uhr sind wir im Hotel zurück.
Morgen fahre ich zurück nach München.
Would either of these sentences be correct as well?
Um 7 Uhr sind wir zurück im Hotel.
Morgen fahre ich nach München zurück.
Thank you fellow learners!
You're a few period points short and it's written as zurück, with an umlaut. Excepting that, your positioning of zurück is correct in all cases.
Thank you, I thought that was the case but wanted to check. I know, writing on a different laptop and couldn't find the umlaut!
Of course. Better safe than sorry. Language is what we're all here for, after all. May your efforts be rewarded!
(I wouldn't have mentioned it if you hadn't written "München" so beautifully. :p That was me being safe, not sorry.)
I'm just curious, which Hueber series are you using? I've used Heuber's Menschen series for A1 and A2. I know that they have a few different series of books though, with Menschen just being one of them.
