German keyboard and DuoKeyboard

EDIT: I spoke too soon, it just finally kicked in! So never mind, it's working. I'll leave this here in case it helps anyone else. Here is a screencap of it kicking in for the first time.

Have just discovered the DuoKeyboard auto keyboard switcher for Chrome. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/duokeyboard/dekooljcgfaiokofbciaflklkfniimfa/related?hl=en

Works amazing for switching Russian / English keyboard layouts on Windows 10 as needed based on the question to hand.

I was hoping it would work for German as well, giving me standard German keyboard layout (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/3/36/KB_Germany.svg/550px-KB_Germany.svg.png) in German exercises to save me manually switching.

Has anyone else experienced it working for German?

(p.s. I do prefer to learn to type using a proper keyboard layout, as I'm a touch typist from way back and never look down at keyboards; don't want to do ALT etc accents. Want to learn right, right from the start.)
