Why not "Ich male eine Stunde täglich"

"Ich male jeden Tag eine Stunde" is accepted but "Ich male eine Stunde jeden Tag". This makes sure that the order is the same as in the English version, but I have a feeling that putting "eine Stunde" first maybe feels more natural in German. Am I wrong? Is the translation good? Should it be accepted?

Why is 'Jeden Tag male ich eigene Stunde' wrong?

As far as I'm aware, 'eigen' means 'own' as in 'mein eigenes Haus' = 'my own house'. I'm guessing you meant 'eine', in which case the sentence seems ok to me.

"Jeden Tag male ich eine Stunde" I am at a loss to know why this is not acceptable.

Perhaps you need 'lang' after 'Stunde'. 'Jeden Tag male ich eine Stunde' sounds to me to be a bit like you take an hour and paint it with your paintbrush.

Shouldn't the word "für" be in this sentence.

No, German usually translates for X hour(s) as X Stunde(n) lang, but it is possible to omit the lang.
