Czech, a slavic language adopts (some) Latin (Latin-Romance) words:
- Nové --> Nova/Novo (Latin, Esperanto, Portuguese), Nueva/Nuevo (Spanish).
- Vino --> Vino (Spanish, Portuguese).
Not really. Correlation does not imply causation. ;)
Nový is derived from Proto-Slavic novъ, from Proto-Balto-Slavic nawjas, from Proto-Indo-European néwos.
And that explains why it's so similar to all of these languages you mentioned.
