Where to buy German newspapers?

Is there are particular retailer, or source, for one to purchase German newspapers, magazines, etc. in the US?

I contacted Barnes and Noble today looking for Der Spiegel, but they don't carry it. I thought they did.

Please let me know, thanks!

Do they have to be in print format? Try digital versions. Here the link to the online Spiegel:

I would bet most other German newspapers and magazines have similar obvious URLs.

The digital version is very different from the print version, though, they have a separate editorial staff. You would need to go for the e-paper version to get to the real stuff: http://www.spiegel.de/spiegel/

Got it thanks!

Will do thank you!

I don't know what the situation is like in the US, but here in Germany, we can buy international newspapers at railway stations (of big cities) and airports.

Otherwise, I agree with Jileha: Online, you should find a lot of newspapers. Here's die Zeit: https://www.zeit.de/index

Frankfurter Allgemeine: http://www.faz.net/aktuell/

You can also google for interesting topics, using German words. For example: "Trump Korea Absage", which leads, among others, to this Swiss newspaper: https://www.nzz.ch/international/trumps-korea-show-erhaelt-eine-weitere-episode-ld.1389323

I hope this helps. :-)

I will check them out thank you!

Do you have any authentic German restaurants or stores in or near your area? Sometimes you can find print newspapers in the language of the country a certain store or restaurant is associated with through the ownership or by imports. I’ve picked up Korean magazines in a Korean restaurant in the US before, and my dad has found newspapers in other languages for me in a city, so I imagine that if you search enough, you could find a similar German restaurant or store if you live in suburbia or in a city.

Awesome I forgot about this, I'll check thanks!
