How to say "singer" in French but feminine?
The picture is obviously a female, but the word below uses "le" which should be "la".
And that one uses "le" again on a female-looking singer.
Specifically female it would be "la chanteuse" but I thought le chanteur can be used in a general sense like "le chat" can be used for male or female cats if the gender isn't known, like (most) other professions. But I could be wrong.
The "female-looking singer" is Michael Jackson in his outfit from "Thriller."
