Have approvals of new answers slowed down recently?

Like probably most others, every now and then I'll notice that an answer was rejected when it seems to be clear and correct, but a different wording of the accepted translation. I report these, and I used to often get emails telling me when a correction was added into the course, but now in the past few months those emails have stopped entirely despite me still sending potential corrections. Some of the corrections I have seem totally clear-cut as correct so I don't think I've simply been unlucky with my guesses.

Are these emails simply no longer sent, or have corrections stopped being incorporated? Has anybody else noticed this?

Hi there! In short, yes, it has slowed down. Let me explain why.

We're a team of volunteers who handle these reports and the time we put into this fluctuates a lot, depending on real-life obligations and motivation levels. It's a pretty thankless job, because 99% of reports are nonsense and the tools we have are not great. For example, there is no notification for new reports, or even a way to find the most recent ones: everything is just thrown onto a big pile (with a huge backlog that's been there since forever).

After the new tree version launched (~6 months ago), we were very motivated to quickly process all the reports for the new sentences, because there were still many translations missing at that time. Over the months that has leveled out, the worst mistakes have been fixed and our activity has decreased. We're now starting to think about a new tree version and doing some planning for that.

Alright, that makes sense. Thank you for the update, and of course all the hard work too!

Thank you for sending in reports! And even though we may not be processing them right now, they'll join the backlog and will be dealt with eventually!

Thank you for all your efforts to respond. It does help us people struggling with learning. If only all spoke English..haha.. That would make things much easier.

I reported some stuff when I was doing Czech ages ago - it asked me what I heard and it was 'ano' (meaning yes), and I put 'Ano' but it said I did it in the wrong language; only until I skipped the question I realized I had to put a lower case 'a' like 'ano' instead of 'Ano'. I reported it and never got a response.
