Do not understand this. Both my translators -> 'we hit it'. Reverse translation -> 'tulivaa nguo'

Tulipiga pasi. = We ironed (clothes).
Tulipiga pasi nguo. = We ironed clothes.

"To iron" is kupiga pasi, literally "to hit iron" (as in a clothes iron, not just the metal "iron").

Tulivaa nguo means "We put on clothes" (past tense).
