why couldn't it translate to the 'men praise the women and priests' or 'the men praise the women priests'?


The latter is not possible, but the former is a valid translation given the orthography. It's a known issue in this course since the orthography does not indicate stress. The stress is on the last syllable when it is lengthened to say "... and X". You should report it as a translation.


Why wouldn't that be ābri? I thought the ī implied "and" with the noun before it
