After just under two years (and having restarted last September), I have finally reached Level 25!!
Next target, get all those crowns!
You can't have far to go – and a 3rd level 25 will be even more outstanding!
I'm carrying on with just Norwegian for a while. I've neglected almost all other languages since September and have made much better progress without them distracting me! But I will definitely come to Danish (and Swedish) in time.
I am in awe of your levels and day-streak! Inspiring! But when do you sleep?!
I didn't reach them all at once, you know. ;) Step by step. Sentence by sentence. :) Good luck with your studies!
I have a question to both of you, since you have already reached level 25 in several languages: Do you feel secure (I hope that's the right word) enough in those languages to have a conversation with a native? I'm wondering about that since I started learning languages here. :)
Ignore my French level (I've been speaking it most of my life, so my Duo 25 isn't really relevant here), but I've learned Norwegian almost entirely from Duolingo, over two years, and I'll definitely be giving it a go on a trip to Norway this summer.
I reckon I'll be able to "get by" in simple conversations (nothing too abstract), either with the vocabulary I have, or by being able to describe around words I don't know.
I'll get the prepositions all wrong, and my range of phrases/expressions/figures of speech is woefully limited, but I'm confident I have enough knowledge of basic grammar/tenses/etc to make myself understood.
Whether I understand what's said back to me is another matter! I'll keep you posted!
Thanks a lot!
Nice seeing you around, though it makes me miss the activity stream. Hope everything's good! :)
Félicitations ! Et je tiens également à vous remercier pour vos decks de norvégien sur Tinycards qui me sont d'une grande utilité.
Hjertelig til lykke! :)
There are five per skill, and (last time I counted) there were 117 skills, so that would make 585 crowns.
Congratulations! I started Norwegian yesterday and got big targets, too. wish u good luck! ^__^
How well would you say you can speak norwegian at this point? I'm just starting out but am going to try to approach fluency as best I can. Seems easier than spanish grammar wise at least, but the levels don't seem to have too much bearing on that (I only tested into level 9 spanish but can read books in spanish, for instance. My grammar just isn't perfect but I can have more than basic conversations with native speakers).
