Why so much typing on mobile?

It seems to me that after an update we have more exercises with typing?

On the mobile app it was mostly chosing words, and now we have to write them, and it is very inconvenient, especially when there's twenty two exercises like "ich mag Weihnachtsmann" or even "my name is hans".

I can see what you mean as it can be more tedious to type them out on a mobile device. Hopefully, the app gets updated with the option to type out the words or choose the correct words already listed.

For me though, I prefer typing out the words, especially in German when the words can get so long it is hard to remember them. After typing them out many times, it helps me to learn the words better.

I see, and I really appreciate typing first 5-10 times while words are new, but on level 3 there's 18 blocks, which containing all the same, and that makes my crazy.

Oh my gosh... I know what you mean! There are some sentences that I'm tired of typing in. What's nice is that it's like muscle memory now and when I see it, I don't really think and I just type it.

Use the browser version even on a mobile device. You can choose to type everything or use the wordbank.

That's a great tip. What I really like about it is that with the browser version you can still read the grammar info. The mobile version without this info, at least for me, is useless.

Great, it works! Of course there's still nearly half typing questions, but I can do with this amount.

It depends on the crown level you are . After level 2 there are more writing exercices and there is no choice between writing and the word tabs. On which levels are you ?

Third and forth, and I'm really tired by repeating exactly the same short and easy sentences 18-25 times((

You have your answer :) That's the way the crown levels work , the higher level the more you write in your target langage . There should be an option on the settings about "writing exercices" or something like that , you can try it .

You can turn on Google's German audio keyboard and simply say the words... Of course, can also have it for English and avoid all that typing.

Audio keyboard is great, I use it always instead of typing on mobile app. When I use PC I prefer typing exercises.

would not be so bad if they brought back landscape view on the app..

It won't help on mobile as keyboard might hover the screen almost completely, but it still would be great for tablets
