It makes sense to me. For example, if spaces in a class are limited and you aren't sure you'll be able to get in, a teacher or an administrator may do something to secure it for you.
Yeah, as an incoming graduate student this sentence makes total sense to me. I can see how it would seem obscure to some people, though.
Couldn't this also mean 'The class will secure that for you?" I took 'Klasse' to mean a group of students. It may not be a sentence that is used very often, but isn't is a correct translation?
