Why no more audio exercises in Spanish?
Let me premise this by saying my computer is working fine, along with the sound, volume, and microphone. That said, I've been doing the duelingo spanish for quite a while and it is not longer giving me exercises where it asks me to verbally repeat something? I miss these exercises as it helps my accent and pronunciation? Have I done something wrong? Can I change this in settings? Is dueling no longer offering these kinds of exercise? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
I have noticed this, too. I think they got rid of it. It might have something to do with the crowns system...
Well, if they got rid of it, then I sincerely disagree with their decision. The audio exercises where we get to speak were invaluable in helping with pronunciation.
Can anyone from Duolingo or someone else confirm this? Thank you.
I have speaking exercises on Android in Spanish. But I don't have the new Spanish tree, so I don't know whether the new tree has them. If your tree starts with Basics 1, you have the old tree; the new tree starts with Intro.
If you're using the browser and website, I've read that speaking exercises are only available through Chrome. Make sure your DuoLingo settings have speaking exercises turned on.
If you're using the Android app, make sure speaking exercises are turned on in the DuoLingo settings.
If you're using the iOS or Windows app, I can't suggest anything.
Thank you for your helpful reply. I actually do duolingo on a mac laptop. Also, I do duolingo using safari. I was doing it on chrome, but it froze periodically, so I switched to safari.. I'm betting that the reason I'm not getting verbal excercises is because I'm doing it on safari. Thanks again.
